Walter Lampl 1940 Chinese Maiden and Man Pin Clip Pair - Very Rare
These stunning pin clip brooches are marked PATENT PEND. and match perfectly the 1940 Walter Lampl patents. The woman's dress is enameled in yellow, with black trim, and is accented with brilliant white rhinestones. Her skin is enameled tan, her hair black, and the flower in her hair is red enamel. The man is wearing a black enamel jacket trimmed in white rhinestones, and rhinestone pantaloons with black enamel cuffs. His skin is enameled tan and he has a black enamel headband. In his left hand is a pink enamel flower with a red rhinestone center and green enamel stem. Both pieces are plated in gold-tone. We are selling these extraordinarily rare brooches as a pair.
Maid measures 5/8 x 2". Man measures 1 x 2", including flower in outstretched hand.
No missing or dead stones. The enamel is almost entirely intact, with only a few tiny spots of loss (the tips of their noses, one cuff of the man's pants, a couple of tiny flea-bites on his left sleeve). Pin clip backs hold well. No wear to plating.
