Art Deco Walter Lampl Carved Turquoise & Cream Enamel Compact
Dating to the early 1930s, this is an outstanding example of Walter Lampl’s line of compacts. The body of the compact is enameled in cream, with gold-tone accents. On top of the compact’s lid is an intricately carved Chinese turquoise stone. Inside, the mirror is intact. An engine-turned door lifts to reveal the powder well, which still has some of the original loose powder inside. Marked WL.
Measures 2-1/4 inch square.
